Expression of Interest: Residential Subsidy Opportunity

Brighton Hebrew Congregation (BHC) is offering a residential subsidy of up to $20,000 per year for up to three years to a committed young Jewish family who is eager to contribute to the growth and vibrancy of our Modern Orthodox community.

Who are you?

· You are a young Jewish family seeking to establish your home within a strong and welcoming Modern Orthodox community.

· You are committed to Jewish communal life and eager to take an active role in strengthening and revitalising our synagogue.

· You may be early in your career and seeking additional support to remain close to the Jewish community while establishing yourself professionally.

What we expect from you

In return for the residential subsidy, you will:

· Commit to attending BHC’s regular religious services and other communal activities.

· Working with rabbinic leadership of the Kehilla, take an active supportive and leadership role in developing and running outreach and engagement programs that attract new members and strengthen connections among existing members.

· Reside within 15-minutes walking distance of the synagogue.

We are particularly interested in how your unique skills, experiences, and passions can shape our new programs and initiatives, and how you envision contributing to BHC’s revitalization.

The initial subsidy is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years by mutual agreement.
